Each time when I want to improve myself in some area, first, of course, I need to check courses, talk with people, follow communities, and read articles and books. These steps are mandatory.
And after, I highly recommend finding someone who also wants to improve himself in the same area and teaching him/her what you know.
What it will get you:
I can't say that I often use this method, sometimes I don't want to dive deep or spend time on something that has higher priority, or just lazy to take extra responsibility (if you sign up to be a teacher you need to be prepared). But last time I more and more often see that similar approach recommend in different books, and articles and we talk about it with friends and colleagues. Some examples that I have found interesting:
A blog for me is also part of the teaching, as I need to put all my thought in a structured, short, and interesting manner. Also, we have an internship in the company that I described in one of the previous posts and once in two weeks I made a stream where I share my experience
Sometimes stopper for me is where to find a person who wants to study. There is no exact answer, so I will give you some of my hints:
1) groups and communities on FB or LinkedIn - its always someone more and someone less experienced, people enter such places for communication and advice, and you can be active there
2) online (rear offline) clubs - like sales or marketing. they usually cost some money, the purpose is to gather together people who want to share their experience
3) friends, family, colleges
The most important spend time only with that person who is motivated to get advice from you, in other cases you will be demotivated
